Upper Parsonage Farm is a Tourist Board 4 star accommodation with a gold award for excellence.  It is nestled in the hills, 5 minutes from the A3M and ½ a mile from the South Downs Way.  It is a peaceful retreat in an ideal location for walking and cycling or just enjoying the countryside.

It is ideally situated for short breaks, holidays and business being 1 ¼ hours from London and 15 minutes from the train and ferry port.  We offer two stylish rooms, each decorated and finished to a high standard with a few antique pieces to enhance each room.  Sue and Nick offer a warm welcome to their family farmhouse with priority in making your stay a peaceful and memorable.

Garden Room

This is a separate double room with its own entrance on the ground floor which opens out onto a well maintained courtyard garden with lots of shrubs and roses where you are able to sit and relax or even have breakfast.  It is a self contained unit with a small kitchen equipped with cooker, dishwasher and all crockery and cutlery.  There is a ensuite shower room supplied with local lavender products and other essential items.

Sweetpea Room

This is a large double or twin room (more than one night) and is situated in the main house.  Again it looks out on to the courtyard garden and thatched barn.  It is equipped with a shower and bath also supplied with local lavender products.

Camping

Tariff £7 per person any age per night

Whether it is camping or glamping we offer both.  A night away from the hub bub of the town, visit our beautifully mown site, in an idyllic location, no pitches you chose your own site.  No more than half a dozen tents at any time, ideal for small groups and families with children - no traffic. There are swings, a few animals in the nearby fields. We have a clean well equipped toilets and a hot shower supplied with local lavender products.

If it is glamping we are able to supply a bell tent large enough for four supplied with bedding and even carpet. A superb farmhouse breakfast can be served if requested. Price on application.

Shepherds Hut

Nick is currently renovating our original shepherds hut that their ancestors used during the winter months when lambing on the farm.  Hopefully this should be up and running soon!

Thatched Barn

Think about getting married? Turning an important milestone or just want to celebrate with a party? Expertly restored by Sue and Nick to look as close as possible to its 18th Century roots - with its thatched roof, original brick walls and old oak beams.  Cath Kidson Bunting and fairy lights help make your occasion one to remember.  Set in a picturesque landscape with well tended gardens it is ideal for photographs.

The barn comfortable sits 100 - 110 people with banquet style seating and circular tables.  A large stage with a dance floor in front means you can dance the night away until 11.30pm.  There is also a kitchen and toilet facility adjacent to the barn for your own use.

Not to mention that the barn is exclusively yours for the entire day but we are happy for you to set up the day before and clear up the day after.  When hiring the barn we are able to recommend a variety of suppliers or even provide the planning for a complete service.

A beautiful tree lined path leads from the ample parking in the meadow adjacent to the barn itself so guests can arrive in style.

Breakfast is served in an elegant dining room and where possible all local Hampshire produced is sourced.  All jams and marmalades are homemade and eggs are supplied by our own free range chickens.
